By partnering with schools and community organizations, SwimRVA builds social bridges through aquatics that cross physical, racial and economic barriers, and serves as a catalyst for health, fitness and water safety. John Randolph Foundation’s first grant to SwimRVA in 2015 was to support a 2nd grade swim program in partnership with Hopewell City Public Schools and Hopewell Recreation and Parks.

The successful program was been awarded $77,500 in five years, and there are plans to expand the program to Prince George County Public Schools in the 2020-2021 school year.
