Greater Richmond Fit4Kids is committed to improving children’s health and wellness through outdoor physical activities, movement in the classroom, gardening and healthy eating. Since their first grant in 2014, John Randolph Foundation has awarded $269,500 to sustain Wellness Integration programs and Learning Gardens in all three Hopewell elementary schools.

These programs inspire a culture of good health through lively classroom lessons, fitness and running clubs, family fitness fun events, and even fruit and vegetable taste testings. Learning Gardens engage children in planting, growing, harvesting and tasting fresh food, changing the way children feel about vegetables.
