The Colonial Heights Food Pantry, Inc. is committed to alleviating hunger, while developing collaborative strategies to encourage self-reliance and preserve human dignity. During the last fiscal year, Colonial Heights Food Pantry fed an average of 254 households each month and distributed enough food to serve 430,000 meals throughout the year—accomplished with more than 12,000 hours of hands-on help from community volunteers.
JRF has supported Colonial Heights Food Panty since 2008 with grant funding in excess of $260,000. In 2008, was JRF was able to assist the food pantry’s relocation to a new facility with a grant of $20,000.
