John Randolph Foundation NOURISHES …
January 21, 2021 9:03 amThe new year has begun and JRF continues to celebrate some of the nonprofit organizations we have supported during our 25 years of service in the community.
In 1983, the Hopewell Food Pantry was created by a group of local churches to provide emergency food to individuals and families in temporary crisis. Nearly 40 years later, with an emphasis on community and partnership, the Hopewell Food Pantry creates access to good, healthy food for senior citizens, the disabled, and anyone in need. The volunteer staff is inspired by the organization’s motto – “Neighbors feeding neighbors”.
JRF has partnered with Hopewell Food Pantry since 2008 with grant funding in excess of $340,000. In 2016 and in concert with the Cameron Foundation, JRF assisted with the food pantry’s relocation to well-designed, modern facility to better serve the community.
